Welcome to Jarvis Estate. An Australian, family-owned and family-operated winery located in the heart of the Margaret River region. Established in 1997.
OUR STORY
In 1997 Matt and Jackie Jarvis in a moment of madness purchased a vacant block of land in Margaret River to grow wine grapes. With a large mortgage, a new baby and a single income, there was no money for staff so they worked evenings and weekends to plant an initial 4Ha of grapes in 1998. In 1999 when their second daughter was born they decided to plant more vines, with the final planting completed in 2004, the same year their third daughter was born. The Jarvis Estate Cellar Door was completed in 2017.

Jarvis Estate offers premium wine tastings, barrel tastings and a unique camping experience. We pride ourselves on being a true estate, which means all our premium wines are single estate grown, made and bottled on our own property. By carefully controlling this process, we ensure a better-quality wine for your enjoyment. Our wines are created in limited quantities, and available exclusively at our Cellar Door and on our website.
OUR WINES
At Jarvis Estate we offer a full range of premium wine blends. Our red wine range includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. We produce one of Margaret River’s best Cabernet Francs, a traditional French variety that excels when grown in the sub-region of Bramley, where Jarvis Estate is located. Our award winning white wine varieties include our estate grown Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Both our Chardonnay and Semillon are barrel fermented, spending 10 months in French Barrique barrels.
OUR LOCATION
Jarvis Estate is located 15 kilometres from the Indian Ocean. It is this close proximity to the ocean and its two seasonal currents that stabilise the temperatures, creating a warm climate with cool nights, slowing ripening period. This Mediterranean climate with cool winters and a slow ripening season enhances the fruit driven flavours in our wines. In addition to great weather conditions, Jarvis Estate is situated on some great dirt. The topsoils on the property are mungnite loams with clay on gravel sub soils.
OUR REGION
The Margaret River region, located in the far south-west corner of Western Australia, is one of the most geographically isolated wine regions in the world. Despite it's isolation, the region has evolved from pioneer ‘outstation’ to a place dedicated to the pursuit of great wine, great food and an exceptional lifestyle. Today, there are over two hundred wineries in the region, producing around twenty percent of Australia’s premium wines from just three perecent of Australia’s total crush.
